Free guided community walk about the needs and future of our parks and open space in LIC!

Join a Long Island City Walk & Talk to build a strong parks system! New Yorkers for Parks and the Play Fair Coalition will be joined by Council Member Julie Won, Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, Court Square Civic Assoctiation and other local partners, who will explore how parks, greenways, the waterfront, and open spaces are shaping the future of LIC and why investing in the public realm matters for health, safety, and climate resilience.

Meeting Point: The Baseline (Jackson Ave. & Dutch Kills St.)

Stops will include: LIC ramps, Dutch Kills Green, Queensbridge Baby Park, Queensbridge Park

This approx. 1.2 mile walk (with stops) will be entirely outdoors. As we move through key sites in LIC, local advocates and community leaders will highlight:
