Designated a “Great Downtown” by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association, Downtown Westfield is transforming with the council’s recent adoption of a redevelopment plan for One Westfield Place following four years of community engagement activities.
The project features 310,000 square feet of office space and 205 total residential units, 154 age-restricted for seniors, along with two enhanced public spaces and 27,000 square feet of street-level retail. The project also looks to optimize parking in the downtown through two new commuter garages while substantially improving streetscapes.
Join APA New Jersey for a walking tour of Downtown Westfield, led by Mayor Shelley Brindle and Town Planner Don Sammet. The tour will include visits to the redevelopment site with a discussion about the redevelopment process and plan. It will conclude at the One Westfield Place preview center for a Q&A, see a scale model of the project, and sample food from local restaurants.
