School-aged youth are heavily influenced by their peers and social media. However, sports instructors and coaches maintain a uniquely influential role in our children’s lives. Research and experience identify team athletics as a critical and effective approach to helping youth design their aspirations and realize their goals.
Sports Power Clean Energy meets youth where they’re at. We combine sports training sessions with a clean-energy education, creating a critical opportunity to expose youth, coaches, and parents to lifestyles and careers in renewable energy. As part of our interactive, nationally recognized clean energy curriculum, Sports Power educators guide participants in hands-on experiments and interactive projects related to energy and sustainability. Sports follows science, as our professional-level coaches lead players in conditioning drills, scrimmages, and exercises in skills mastery.
