Where do the best ideas for stories, characters, and images come from? Where do you glean the answers that evade you at the keyboard? Your mind. In this class, Gotham Writers Workshop instructor and editor of The Razor Magazine, Emma Stephenson, will lead attendees through exercises designed to help you think like a writer and discover the ideas that surprise and delight your readers.
Emma Stephenson is Director of Communications & Events at Gotham Writers Workshop and the editor of Gotham’s literary magazine The Razor. She is a co-creator of The Writer’s Mind course and has published prose poems in Bullshit Lit’s 2nd Anthology, Masks Literary Magazine, and Passing Through. She served as education coordinator for Symphony Space’s Thalia Kids Book Club Camp. Emma holds a BA from Emerson College.
