The Queens Museum welcomes young learners with disabilities, ages 8-12, to join us at the museum for art exploration with their families!

On the first weekend of the month we welcome children with disabilities (ages 8-12) and their families to visit the Queens Museum from 11:30-1:00pm for art-making and gallery exploration, guided by our museum educators and art therapists. Each month explores a new theme and art activities.

What to expect during Open Studio?

Do you have programs for adults with disabilities?

Yes, on the first weekend of the month from 2:00-4:00 pm teens and adults with disabilities and their families are invited to Open Studio programs.

What is ArtAccess?

Since 1983, ArtAccess initiatives at the Queens Museum have provided programming for children, teens, and adults with disabilities and advanced accessibility initiatives throughout the museum. ArtAccess programs promote social inclusion and self-determination, encourage experimentation and creative expression and provide layers of multisensory experiences.

Know Before You Go:

Participants must be accompanied by a care partner to the museum and throughout the workshop.

Please note that the café and coat check is currently closed.

The museum offers free parking with limited spaces, along with public transportation options.
