This hands-on workshop offers expectant mothers and their partners a platform to discuss and plan their birth journey, utilizing a customizable birth planning worksheet to outline their preferences and expectations for labor and delivery.
Participants will learn:
- How to describe their birthing preferences, including location, pain management techniques, and desired medical interventions.
- The variety of birthing options available, to help make informed choices that best fit their comfort and safety.
- How to prepare for a range of potential birth scenarios, providing flexibility and adaptability in their birth plan.
- The value of open communication with their health care provider, ensuring their birth plan is understood and respected.
- How to craft a detailed birth plan that covers preferred labor, monitoring, and pain management methods, ensuring their voice is heard in the birthing process.
Each participant will receive printables for selecting a pediatrician, a first newborn visit packing checklist, and the first newborn visit question guidelines.
