Artist Shantell Martin will lead a free and open-to-the-public art-making workshop on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Inspired by the artist’s practice of “drawing on everything,” children will have the opportunity to create their works of art on recycled bottles and place their work within a larger public art installation.
The workshop will coincide with Shantell’s site-specific public installation at Rockefeller Center featuring a diverse selection of work by the British-American artist. Acclaimed for her distinctive line drawings and installations, Martin also works across various mediums, including digital art, fashion, and performance. This comprehensive exhibition celebrates the diversity of Martin’s work while providing an extensive understanding of her practice.
