Arts Education nonprofit Foundation for New American Art hosts a free Saturday Summer Multi-Arts Program for All with sponsorship from NYSCA and the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs.
The Saturday Paint brushes, not guns.
What to Expect:
- Multilingual Program: Whatever language you speak, our program is designed for everyone. We believe in Language Justice!
- Performance Skills: Develop your acting, singing, dancing, drawing, and musical skills with the guidance of star teachers from Vassar College, Juilliard, NYU, and SUNY Purchase.
- Inclusive Environment: We welcome participants of all races, ages, and abilities, including the visually impaired, neurodivergent, immigrant, and low-income communities.
- Creative Opportunities: Wear a costume, tell your stories, and be part of a unique new multicultural TIKTOK show called Children of the City.
- Instrumental Learning: Everyone gets a chance to sing, dance, draw, act, and play the piano and guitar.
- Supportive Space: Get help with your problems and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment.
Program Highlights:
- Multicultural Stories: Share your true stories in any language and be part of a collaborative performance.
- Family-Friendly: Whole families are welcome to join and participate together.
- Certificates and Scholarships: Children who complete our program will receive a prestigious Legere Academy Performance Art Certificate.
