Artist Joel Mesler will lead a free and open-to-the-public art-making workshop on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Inspired by Pool Party, his summer art installation at Rockefeller Center, children can create their beach ball sculptures alongside Mesler and place their work within a larger public art installation.
Joel Mesler crafts immersive artworks that evoke childhood nostalgia and celebrate themes of hope, love, and joy, inviting viewers to explore play and introspection. On view through July 21, Mesler’s campus-wide takeover will include the Pool Party installation at The Rink, 193 flags adorned with the artist’s signature balloon letters, as well as artist-designed vinyl murals throughout the Center.
Location: The Rink At Rockefeller Center
Time: 10:00 am — 1:00 pm EST
