Discussing A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark

Led by Greenlight Events Coordinator Ashli, the Fantasy Book Group meets monthly to explore the many mystical corners of a boundless genre: cozy, romantasy, YA, contemporary, high (or epic), anthologies, and more! Whether you’re a lifelong fantasy lover or a burgeoning fan, we welcome you here.

For September, the group discusses P. Djèlí Clark’s award-winning and World Fantasy-nominated novel A Master of Djinn. Set in Cairo, 1912, Clark’s dazzling full-length debut follows Fatma el-Sha’arawi, the youngest woman working for the Ministry of Alchemy, Enchantments and Supernatural Entities. Alongside her Ministry colleagues and a familiar person from her past, Agent Fatma must unravel the mystery behind this imposter to restore peace to the city — or face the possibility he could be exactly who he seems...
