On October 23, 2024, Dr. Poffenroth will bring her teachings to bookstores with the release of Brave New You: Strategies, Tools, and Neurohacks to Live More Courageously Every Day (Hachette). To celebrate the launch, Dr. Poffenroth will be presenting her favorite neuro hacks at this free Kinokuniya event.

Books will be sold on-site for customization and signing by the author.

About the Presenter:

Mary Poffenroth, PhD, is an award-winning researcher, professor, and fear/courage expert who shares her work with audiences and corporations across the world. From being adopted at birth to being a first-generation college student to her first day at NASA and beyond, Mary has dedicated her life to understanding how best to do scary things. Her groundbreaking approach to fear and risk-taking, along with her insights into the biology of fear, have made her a leader in fear science. Her work has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Science, Entrepreneur, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, TedEd, HuffPost, TIME, Refinery 29, and Inbound. She has three master’s degrees (biology, psychology, science communication) with a Ph.D. in Psychology.
