Both timely and timeless, How to Send a Hug is about reaching out to your loved ones across any earthly limitation — and turning words into love!

Learn how to send a hug to someone you care about today! Join us at Books of Wonder as we welcome two authors/artists for this In-Person Launch Event for How to Send a Hug by one of the most wonderful duos in children’s literature: Hayley Rocco and John Rocco! This heartfelt story shows readers the incredible impact writing and receiving handwritten letters can have on yourself and others.

Artie loves giving hugs. But she can’t give a hug to her Grandma who lives so far away. Instead, she shows us how to send hugs using the magic of handwritten letters in this timeless story about connecting to loved ones when you can’t always do so in person.

What you need to know to join us:

• We recommend RSVPing to attend! RSVPing here guarantees entry to the event if you are among the first 100 registrants. Please make sure to RSVP for your full party, including any and all children.

• Please note that there will only be 100 RSVPs available. Guests who have RSVPed must arrive by 2:50 PM in order to claim their spot. After that time, the reserved seat will become available to walk-up guests.

• If you are not among the first 100 RSVPs, you can still purchase a copy of each book, and join the signing queue to get signed and personalized books! Doors will open for the signing queue around 3:45 PM.

• All attendees over the age of 2 will need to wear a mask while in the store, as per NYC guidelines for live indoor events.

• Remember: if you are not feeling well please do not attend this event!
