Four Irishmen, an Englishman, and a Fräuline go for a hike. Come hear the play first. A new comedy by Marcus Davidson.

You’re invited to the first public reading of Ways To Go, a new comedy by Marcus Davidson, winner of the Berilla Kerr Foundation Award.

What begins as a boozy walking holiday along Spain’s Camino dos Faros becomes a funny and moving reckoning with friendship, history, masculinity, and the emotional baggage men carry into middle age.

Sharp, warm, and surprisingly honest! Ways To Go belongs to the tradition of The Banshees of Inisherin, The Trip, and Sideways: ensemble comedy where the laughs come fast, but the heartbreak is never far behind.

This is your chance to hear the play fresh off the page before it finds its stage. Join us at Ryan’s Daughter for a drink, a reading, and a conversation about what comes next.

CAST INCLUDES: Ciarán Byrne, Don Creedon, Susan Davey, John Duddy, Elizabeth Maille, Adam Petherbridge, Gary Troy and Michael Mellamphy.

About The Play

Ways To Go follows a group of longtime friends attempting the Camino dos Faros pilgrimage route along Galicia’s rugged Costa da Morte, only to discover that the journey exposes far more than blisters and bad knees. The play asks one central question: how do men express love when they have never learned the language for it?
