Anna Makanju is OpenAI’s Vice President of Global Impact. She previously worked on technology regulation at Facebook and SpaceX and taught at Princeton. Anna spent eight years in the Obama/Biden administration, where she served as a senior policy advisor to the Vice President, as a director on the NSC, and in several senior roles at the Department of State and the Pentagon. She received her law degree from Stanford and has worked at international criminal tribunals in the Hague, on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and in the international arbitration group of Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton LLP. Anna also serves on the boards of Coty Inc., Panera Brands, and the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford.
