We welcome you to join us at Fordham University in The Bronx, NY, for an engaging in-person event commemorating Black History Month. Professor Merle Collins, a distinguished poet, novelist, filmmaker, and Professor Emerita at the University of Maryland, College Park, will lead this lecture.
During the event, Professor Collins will delve into her latest work, “Ocean Stirrings” (published by Peepal Tree Press), which focuses on Louise Little, a UNIA activist and the mother of eight, including the notable figure Malcolm X. Explore the vibrant history and cultural contributions of Caribbean feminist thought during this enlightening discussion.
