“Moana” (2016) is an animated Disney adventure film directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The story follows Moana (voiced by AuliК»i Cravalho), the spirited daughter of a Polynesian village chief, who is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti, a goddess whose life-giving power has been stolen by the demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson). Despite her father’s wishes to keep her on the island, Moana sets sail on a daring journey across the ocean to save her people and discover her true destiny.

Along the way, Moana faces treacherous seas, encounters mythical creatures, and learns the art of wayfinding from Maui, who initially resists helping her. Through courage, perseverance, and self-discovery, Moana embraces her role as a wayfinder and leader, ultimately confronting Te KДЃ, a volcanic demon, to restore balance to the world. “Moana” is a visually stunning and heartwarming tale of identity, bravery, and the enduring connection between humanity and nature, celebrated for its vibrant animation, memorable music, and strong cultural roots.
