“Fletch” introduces us to Irwin “Fletch” Fletcher, a laid-back, irreverent, and highly skilled investigative reporter living in Los Angeles. He’s known for his quick wit, creative disguises, and unconventional methods. When a mysterious millionaire approaches Fletch, offering him a large sum of money to commit murder, Fletch sees it as an opportunity for a good story and some much-needed cash. As he investigates the offer, he discovers a trail of corruption involving drugs, murder, and crooked cops. The investigation takes Fletch on a series of wild adventures, as he adopts a variety of disguises and assumes multiple identities, using his sharp intellect and his gift for improvisation to uncover the truth. “Fletch” is a fast-paced, comedic mystery filled with memorable characters and witty dialogue, showcasing the talents of Chevy Chase at his comedic best.
