“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” revisits the Deetz family, decades after their initial encounter with the mischievous bio-exorcist. Lydia Deetz, now an adult, returns to Winter River with her teenage daughter, Astrid, following a family tragedy. Grieving and grappling with their issues, they inadvertently open a portal to the Netherworld, summoning Beetlejuice back into the land of the living. This unleashes a new wave of supernatural chaos and forces Lydia and Astrid to navigate the bizarre rules of the ghostly realm while contending with the unpredictable antics of Beetlejuice. The film appears to explore themes of grief, legacy, and family connections, all while maintaining the original film’s darkly comedic and visually imaginative style. It promises a blend of nostalgia, the return of beloved characters, and new elements, as Astrid navigates the supernatural world.
