“A New Hope” throws us into the midst of a galactic civil war, where the tyrannical Galactic Empire rules with an iron fist. We meet Luke Skywalker, a restless farm boy on the desert planet Tatooine, who dreams of a life beyond the dunes. His destiny takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Obi-Wan Kenobi, a reclusive hermit with a connection to the Force, an energy field that binds the galaxy together.

Luke becomes entangled in the Rebellion’s fight against the Empire after the evil Darth Vader captures Princess Leia, a key figure in the resistance. With the help of Obi-Wan, the smuggler Han Solo, his Wookiee copilot Chewbacca, and the droids C-3PO and R2-D2, Luke embarks on a daring mission to rescue the princess and deliver stolen plans for the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the Death Star.
