Through a series of flashbacks, we delve into the mothers’ harrowing experiences in China, shaped by war, loss, and cultural upheaval. These stories become intertwined with the daughters’ contemporary struggles with love, marriage, career, and cultural identity.
The Joy Luck Club explores themes of family, tradition, cultural identity, and the enduring bond between mothers and daughters.
