A Haunting in Venice is a 2023 American mystery film directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring him as Hercule Poirot, the famous detective who investigates a murder mystery in post-World War II Venice. The film is based on Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party and follows Poirot’s confrontation with a fraudulent medium and a serial killer. The film also features an ensemble cast of Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh. The film was released in the United States on September 15, 2023, by 20th Century Studios and received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences.
