The festival may feature performances by Himalayan musicians and dancers, traditional handicrafts and artwork, and educational workshops and talks on the culture and history of the Himalayan region. Ngatso Fest is an excellent opportunity for people to learn more about Himalayan culture and connect with the local Himalayan community in New York.

What to Expect:

  1. Art Exhibition led by Curator Lobsang Tsewang who is a gallery coordinator at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT)
  2. Local performers on a random basis.
  3. Kids’ game and face painting
  4. Mother’s Day special craft workshop
  5. Local Himalayan artisans and vendors selling Himalayan-inspired products & accessories
  6. Life-size yak photoshoot
  7. Gorshey (Tibetan traditional circular dance)
