Jersey City Writers honors home-grown wordsmiths with our 5th Annual Poetry Fest: Jersey Proud. Join us in welcoming poets from around the Garden State as we celebrate the words that shape us and the stories we can’t forget. We’ve recruited the poetic dream team. Don’t miss a word of it!

Jersey City Poet Laureates Ann E. Wallace, PhD (2022-2024) and Rescue Poetix (2020-2022) share what it takes to go from emerging writer to honored wordsmith. Join JCW’s panel discussion to discover your path to poetic success. Presented by Jersey City Writers, Poet Laureate Ann Wallace, and Jersey City’s Office of Cultural Affairs.

ASL interpreters will be present at all Jersey Proud events.

Please note: the City Hall elevator is undergoing repair. Contact mmilano@jc.nj.org should you require ADA Accommodations.

If you can’t make it in person, you are invited to join us online.

Jersey City Writers is a 501c3 nonprofit community for writers to interact and develop their skills. JCW’s in-person, online, and hybrid programming includes workshops, writing marathons, readings, retreats, and more.
