In collaboration with Latitude Gallery, Civil Art invites you to an exhibition walkthrough of No Place Like Home, a group exhibition featuring Civil Art’s 2025–2026 Art House Cohort and local emerging API artists. The walkthrough is led by Ho Jae Kim, founder and CEO of Civil Art, and Shihui Zhou, founder of Latitude Gallery.
The walkthrough features 10 artworks highlighting how artists use the familiar as a gateway to the unknown.

Recognizing what we have right in front of us — what is closest, most familiar — can be surprisingly difficult. Often it takes distance, a journey away from the everyday, to perceive the textures of our lives with clarity. What we recognize becomes uncanny; what feels intimate becomes dislocated. In this space of shifting meaning, viewers are invited to embark on their own journey — philosophical, cultural, psychological, or somewhere in between.
Sharon Cheuk Wun Lee (b. 1992, Hong Kong, China) received an MFA from Columbia University in 2025; she has participated in numerous artist residencies at institutions, including Tiger Strikes Asteroid/Transmitter Gallery, Brooklyn; Keramikkünstlerhaus, Neumünster, DE; and Taipei International Artist Village, TW. Lee’s work has been the subject of presentations at Kyoto Art Center, JP (2023); and Lumenvisum, Hong Kong (2017). Most recently, her work was included in group exhibitions at Galerie du Monde, Hong Kong (2025); Below Grand, New York (2024); SK Gallery, New York (2024); WMA, Hong Kong (2024); 1A Space, Hong Kong (2023); Tai Kwun Contemporary, Hong Kong (2022); and Karin Weber Gallery, Hong Kong (2021). Lee’s work has appeared in publications such as ArtAsiaPacific, Corridor8, and Hong Kong Free Press. She currently lives and works in New York City.
Founded in 1997, Harper’s is dedicated to exploring relationships between fine art and print media. Drawing on founder Harper Levine’s decades-long career as a rare book dealer, our original location at 87 Newtown Lane remains a cultural hub of the East End. Presently, Harper’s East Hampton is open by appointment.
