Inspired by The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats — the groundbreaking children’s book first considered to center Black children — this exhibition honors the artistic legacy and future of Black illustrators who continue to draw themselves and their communities into the heart of the American story.
To mark the opening, The Billie will host a kick-off reception on Friday, July 11th, with music and light refreshments.
