Intrepid Museum Presents Astronomy Night

Astronomy Nights are back!

The museum will open to the public for free from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm and will include a talk between Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise and former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino about Haise’s new book Never Panic Early: An Apollo 13 Astronaut’s Journey. Educational activities, demonstrations, and stargazing with local astronomers will also be available throughout the evening!

Schedule*:

* American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available for select Intrepid Museum demonstrations, the book talk and signing, and telescope viewing on the flight deck.

Important information: This is not a ticket to the museum. You do not need to bring this on the night of the program. This is just a reminder for Astronomy Night. It is not a ticket.

Astronomy Nights are free, sign-up for a reminder!

Doors will open promptly at 5:00 pm, Last entry to the Museum is at 8:30 pm (doors are subject to close earlier, entry is not guaranteed). All visitors must enter through the Welcome Center to receive a ticket prior to entering the Museum. While face masks are no longer required, we strongly recommend wearing masks at indoor locations. We ask that each person’s individual choice is respected.
