Ana Mosseri (Bogotá, Colombia. 1969) is a Colombian Postwar & contemporary artist.
Her practice has been recognized for her quirky and loose depiction of landscapes and color studies, with over 15 solo exhibitions from 1998 — 2023. Her subject matter often includes scenarios of scenery and fauna found in New York City, given her history and academic attachment to the city.
With a focus on painting, Mosseri can quickly adapt to the times, incorporating modern technologies into her artistic processes with iPad drawings and the like.
CONCORDIA’s first show with Ana Mosseri will feature the artist’s latest series of iPad drawings titled “Cherry Blossoms”, exhibited at Mains de Vapeur’s Hat Studio on the UWS. The artist will be present, allowing for engagement and insight. All works showcased at the space will be available for purchase.
Concordia is a creative studio and pop-up gallery. We act as a platform for (mostly) emerging and mid-career Latin American fine artists, curating ephemeral physical gallery spaces where we showcase their works in New York City.
In parallel, we produce interdisciplinary experiences within our exhibits, inviting creatives to adjacently intervene in our spaces through wine tastings, gastronomy, fashion pop-ups, design workshops, artist panels, and more.
This show is curated by Danielle Juliao (Barranquilla, Colombia. 1996)
