Capturing moments: Photo Walk with Ximena Echague

Published: April 5, 2023; Aithor: Julia Sonrisa

When: April 16, 2023

In these two hours of photographic walk, Ximena proposes to slow down minds and steps. Focusing on breathing, we sharpen our senses by merging with the environment.

Throughout a profound observation, we will organically discover situations, gestures, and details hidden until now.

Ximena Echague is a Belgian-Argentine Documentary & Street Photographer, Jury & Curator based in Brussels. She was trained in London, Paris, Brussels, and India and at the International Center of Photography in New York.

Ximena’s work has been exhibited worldwide in four individual exhibitions (including at the European Parliament, Brussels, and the United Nations, New York) and over 70 Group exhibitions. She has been published by the most relevant media and international magazines.

She won the Second Prize at the Brussels Street Photography Festival 2019 and was awarded in several photo festivals and contests. She was Curator, Jury, and Mentor of Women Street Photographers in New York and Fotógrafas LATAM, Latin American Women Photographers. She was a jury at Miami Street Photography Festival 2022, among others.

She is a member of Women Street Photographers and Little Box Collective.
