Seven artists explore memory, migration, identity, ancestry, and transformation in the layered spaces between past and future.
The Time Between brings together our seven artists who explore memory, migration, identity, ancestry, and transformation across the spaces between past and future, departure and arrival, and rupture and repair.
Through sculpture, textiles, archives, mixed media, and interactive works, this exhibition considers how histories are carried, reshaped, and shared. Objects become living archives, preserving stories of survival, care, cultural memory, and liberation.
Presented as the culmination of the Andrew Freedman Home Artist Residency, the exhibition invites visitors to enter the generative space of the “between” — where memory, imagination, and new futures begin to take form.
