5 photographers examine the quiet, repetitive rhythms of movement, observation, and fleeting connection.

Featuring: Laura Bregman, Diego Bazán, Dane Manary, Camilo Fuentealba Brevis, Michael Young

An incisive new exhibition, TRANSIT SERIES, looks at everyday movement through New York City’s public transit system. Waiting, riding, passing through. People sitting across from each other, not speaking. People watching, zoning out, coming and going. It also pays attention to the space itself—metal, tile, worn surfaces, signage, and the marks left behind. Sometimes, fleeting glimpses arise — on platforms or during transit — where photographer and subject momentarily cross paths.

Transit is both communal and ever-evolving, a perpetual dance of movement and transformation.

This exhibit focuses on small moments, quiet gestures, and the physical environment people move through every day.

Rafael Acata curated this exhibition.
