Ready to learn all about cameras?

Photo/Video Basics is a course series where teens learn how to operate our DSLR cameras and edit their work in our Media Lab. At the end of the series, teens are eligible to take the Photo/Video assessment, and when they pass, they will receive a Studio Card and be able to book time in the Media Lab to work independently.

This is a 3-week in-person program, and registration is for all 3 sessions. All sessions take place on the lower level of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.

In Week 1, teens will learn how to...

In Week 2, teens will learn how to...

And finally, in Week 3, teens will learn how to...

Please Note: You must attend all three classes and pass an assessment in order to receive a Media Lab Access Studio Card. These courses use both Apple iMac and Windows PC computers. If students would like to keep their work, they are encouraged to bring a flash drive or external hard drive to the final class.

Registration for this program will open at 4:30 pm on December 1. You can register in person or by phone. If the program is full, we will create a waitlist on the first day of the series (January 12). If a registrant is late or does not show up, teens on the waitlist will be admitted into the program on a first-come, first-served basis.

For ages 13 to 18 years
