Web: https://westportlibrary.org/As part of the Y’s Men’s Jazz Club monthly series, the Staples Jazz Band will play an evening concert at The Westport Library. The concert will feature a wide array of memorable jazz tunes, including a world premiere written just for the band.
According to Staples Director of Bands Phil Giampietro, the world premiere, written by Dr. Kyle Saulnier, is a big deal for his student musicians. “This work was written exclusively for the Staples Jazz Ensemble. It’s a great experience for the band and an opportunity for the audience to hear a brand new piece played by top-flight student jazz musicians.”
