Originally commissioned by a mysterious count intending to claim it as his own, Mozart ultimately believed he was composing it for his funeral. The Requiem is set to be performed at memorial services for several prominent figures, including Beethoven, Haydn, and Chopin. The concert will be featured as part of Trinity Church’s 2024 Music Season, a series designed to showcase a diverse array of musical genres and styles. Admission to the concert will be free and open to the public, although registration will be required to attend.
