Brahms’ B flat major sextet is a monumental work — warm, life-affirming, expansive, and generous. We pair this masterpiece with the more recent Polish master — Penderecki — who wrote his sextet in memory of Pope John Paul II. Our artistic director Monica Bauchwitz is joined by Keiko Takunaga, Jessica Thompson, Robert Meyer, Aaron Wolff, and Ari Evan.
