Born in New York to Colombian parents, Riveros grew up learning about the music and cultures of the Americas.
Nelson Riveros has performed and recorded with Grammy-nominated pianist Hector Martignon, Grammy-winning bassist John Benitez, and Samuel Torres, Louis Bonilla, Alfredo De La Fe, Adela Dalto.
Nelson’s first CD, “Camino Al Barrio”, was a contemporary jazz recording with diverse Latin influences, which reached #8 on the Jazz Week World Music Chart.
