Angie Pastor is an NYC-based singer-songwriter, jazz vocalist, guitarist, and teacher. She grew up listening to artists like Norah Jones, Carole King, Nat King Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as bands such as The Beatles and The Punch Brothers. Her diverse taste in music can be heard in the songs she writes. The most important thing to her about songwriting is to speak from the heart and create something meaningful that others can relate to. You’ll find that the music she writes is a balance between pretty melodies with acoustic finger-picking, and upbeat tunes with a little sass and a beat that you can dance to.
