Join us at Lincoln Center for a special pre-show experience celebrating the Big Band Afrobeat to Afrobeats.

This free pre-show features a live set by DJ SOMONEY, joined by Cinque on drums and Irwin Hall on saxophone, creating an immersive blend of rhythm, improvisation, and intentional sound ahead of the evening’s main performance. Presented in partnership with Illegal Mezcal, guests are invited to arrive early, gather, and set the tone for the night.

The main concert, Big Band Afrobeat to Afrobeats, features Grammy Award-winning drummer Ulysses Owens Jr. and acclaimed bassist Michael Olatuja, backed by a full big band.
